In today’s world, offices are sometimes not even required to service customers, so is office insurance really important to have? Considering that many ‘offices’ have moved into homes today, wouldn’t the homeowner’s insurance policy cover any problems that might occur? The answers to those questions are yes, it is very important to have office insurance, and no, you cannot count on a homeowner’s policy to pay for business issues.

Just consider what might happen if there was a fire in your office, and all of your documents and computers were destroyed. Without your files, papers, and filing cabinets, as well as all of the documents that you’ve stored on your hard drive, would you be able to continue working where you left off? With all of the recent storms and tornadoes, if your computers were fried by a power surge, would it put you out of business? Losing your equipment may very well mean losing your livelihood.

These problems can certainly be averted if you have good office insurance in place. It will safeguard both the physical location of your work, but also your entire company and all of its assets. Retaining control over your organization, no matter how small or large, is vital during times of crisis, and when you have office insurance to cover all aspects of the workplace, including income for yourself and any other workers, and lease expenses for the physical plant. Office insurance should be viewed as a necessity and incorporated into your initial business plan and all subsequent budgetary meetings. Many people mistakenly believe that their homeowner’s insurance will cover losses and damages to their home office. Unfortunately, it typically will only pay very minimally; no business liability insurance, no coverage for damage or loss of your company’s records, no coverage for cyber-crime or business interruption.

A more specific type of coverage is errors and omissions insurance. One such type of insurance is the malpractice insurance that doctors, and doctor’s offices, arrange to protect themselves from claims that they did not do their job properly. It is insurance that you purchase hoping you will never need to use, but it gives you peace of mind knowing it is in place, as it can protect you from devastating financial losses.

Effective policies will cover a wide array of occurrences, from basic replacement of equipment for the office and repairs of office space to any physical harm to workers or embezzlement. Insurance companies attempt to offer comprehensive policies that cover almost any unfortunate circumstance that can arise. Likewise, the greater need for this type of insurance has spurred more companies to focus on it, and to offer policies which are a perfect fit for any business from a sole proprietorship to a large multi-national company. Proper protection starts with getting several quotes from highly-rated office insurance companies.

If your blog is your business, or marketing your business, your main goal (as with any commercial website) is to make profit. Be clear about this. The way to do that is to attract as many people as possible to your website and to maintain that customer list by enticing them to come back again and again.

A blog is not for everyone or for every business, but there are few businesses that can’t benefit from a blog in some way and it may be exactly what you need. It may be the detonator you and your business need to go stratospheric.

Many are also realizing the importance and power of using blogs in communication with customers and suppliers as well. Blogs can be very effective marketing tools that can help business owners increase profit.

Consider the following seven reasons why a blog could work for you:

Blogs help to increase communication and cut down on time between messages. Whenever communication is increased in the right way, it correlates to increased sales, and therefore profit. Blogs can actually be money makers.

Blogs can still (believe it or not) be seen as somewhat cutting edge in mainstream business marketing. Although they have been around forever (or so it seem to us in Web 2.0), they still seem new to many people in ‘big’ business. Therefore, if you use a blog for marketing purposes, particularly to non-tech businesses, you make yourself seem up-to-date and actually a leader in new marketing methods. Leverage that.

Having your own blog is like having your own personal media forum. It is like owning your own newspaper, radio station, or television station. This means you have a place to say whatever you want, whenever you want, and you do not have to worry about anyone censoring you or twisting your words for personal gain (provided of course that what you say and do is within the law).

Blogs can serve as a springboard to promote your other marketing aids, and vice versa. You can use your blog to help promote your website, and you should also include a link to your blog on business cards, emails, and other forms of communication. A blog’s success depends on cross promotion to gain readership.

Writing a blog will help to make you more educated in your field. You will have to spend some time doing a little research to be able to write interesting blogs. Showing what you know will help you to promote yourself as an expert and will increase reader/customer trust in you and your product.

You should also use a blog to help establish an angle for your product. You need to decide if you are going to promote yourself as a conservative family company or an edgy, less traditional operation. You can choose to be serious, funny, or strictly educational.

Realize, quickly, that blogs can often be picked up by other media forms. This means additional press and free advertisement. Blogs are quoted by other blogs, on websites, and even in print communication such as newspapers and magazines. You can also move into the world of speaking if your blog lends itself to setting you up as an expert.

Part 2 of our series from Black and White Business, guesting with ClubBlogger.

Why?

Your business plan describes your business, its marketplace, what its objectives are, how it will achieve those objectives and its financial forecasts.

Do not underestimate the importance of a business plan. Starting a business without one is like going on a long road journey to somewhere you’ve never been before, without a map and with your eyes closed.

But this does not mean that a business plan needs to be a nightmare for you to put together. Do not let the ‘tail wag the dog’: your business plan is a tool to describe your business and to follow when implementing your business, not the end in itself.

You can find templates, here.

Like everything else in the world of Black and White Business, we’ll take you through it. You’re not alone with this.

Who will read it?

Like any business document, unless you think carefully about who’s going to read your business plan, who your ‘audience’ is, you’re unlikely to hit the mark.

Crucially, you should be a key audience member. Does this sound odd? Why? A good plan will, amongst other things, help you to focus on what you’re doing, understand problems and challenges, structure your business objectives and figure out your finances.

A good plan will help you step back and take ‘time out’ in good times, and bad times, to assess exactly what state your business is in. It will also help you measure your progress. If you can’t do that, you’ll struggle to see just how much success you’ve achieved and to understand what’s working and what needs fixing or tweaking.

Your ‘stakeholders’ may want to have sight of your plan. In business, you may have many stakeholders and not just in the sense of owning part of your business. These people may be:

advertisers

suppliers

strategic partners (in joint ventures, perhaps)

investors, venture capitalists, business angels, banks

purchasers of your business

professional advisers (lawyers, accountants)

Don’t forget: even if your business starts quite modestly, it has the potential to grow quickly, particularly if it’s an Internet business. One of the biggest problem online businesses face is scalability: your business could grow rapidly and, whilst that sounds fantastic, it can be a nightmare if you don’t have proper plans in place.

For example, if you create a successful website, your site will crash if your servers aren’t capable of handling the increased traffic. This will lead to disgruntled visitors which will lead to fewer visits and bad public relations. What you have strived to make work will start to crumble. Believe us, you don’t want that feeling. You should avoid experiencing it at all costs.

Even more fundamentally, aside from your servers, if the technology of your website itself isn’t properly built to accommodate the number of visitors you may amass (e.g., it can handle 1,000 users but can’t cope with 10,000) you may even need it to be re-built from scratch. Proper planning can help to avoid this.

How to write good business plans quickly

Some of you will have written business plans before, others never. Either way, you can consolidate/improve your existing knowledge or learn where to start.

Yes, you need a business plan. But, as with everything else in Black and White Business, you need it to be part of your business jigsaw and for it to be enough to help you – but not for it to become a monster. You need it to be a tool you control and use, not the other way around. Essentially, you need to produce your plan quickly and move on with your business, returning and revising as needed.

Crucially, and like most things, you don’t have to be alone with this. With the power of the Internet at your fingertips, why stumble around in the dark? Some great business plan resources are here (ready made and bespoke business plans are available, depending on your precise need and circumstances). Get it right and lay the foundation for your success.

Plan properly – then focus your efforts in the right direction

So, you’ve got your basic business plan. But do you really need to know how to get from A to B? Do you know what’s really important and where to focus your time and energy so you’re not chasing your tail or wasting effort?

Never forget that it’s easy to be busy but the hard bit is being busy doing the right things. Plenty of people complain of being ‘too busy’ nowadays. It’s a feature of modern life. The fact is, quite a lot of people, particularly those who are employees and work for others, don’t work efficiently. Often they’re not just busy, they’re busy fools. It may sound harsh but it’s a fact.

It has been estimated that, in the average working day in the average office, people are interrupted or distracted in the region of 40-50 times. Think about that. Think about the number of hours in a ‘working’ day. Think about the frightening ratio of work to ‘interruption’.

We emphasize, above, that particularly ‘those who are employees and work for others’ don’t work efficiently. This isn’t just a loose attempt to criticize employees when compared to people who are self-employed. It’s a matter of fact that a high proportion of those employed in the modern world simply do not benefit from working efficiently. Too often they will get paid regardless of their efficiency and regardless of their productivity (or lack of).

If you run your own business it’s a completely different ball game. Just getting out of bed and turning up to an office does not result in your bank balance increasing. But it’s a ball game many of us would much prefer to play, for a thousand different reasons. Not least because of the independence it can deliver, the challenges and the feeling of building your own ‘thing’. There’s also the prospect of serious financial gain which is rarely on offer by simply turning up to an office and selling your day to someone else.

Clubblogger… is a great place to spend a bit of time and learn about all sorts of stuff. If you’re into business, it’s a great archive.

Which is where I come in and I’m please to be writing a series of posts for CB on the topic of launching a successful business online. This is the first of many over the next few weeks.

If you’re reading this, then you probably already know you want to set up your own online business. But it can be difficult and overwhelming to know where to start. In fact, once you start doing your own research on where to begin, you may come across differing, or even incorrect, advice.

The fact that there is so much information out there, particularly on the Internet, means varying quality shouldn’t be surprising. However, it can be demoralizing and difficult to cut through it and reach your goals.

But cut through it we will, together. That’s what we do at Black and White Business. Stay with us: it’s a worthwhile and rewarding journey.

Some economists say we’re out of the worldwide recession, others disagree. Either way, the financial world is far from booming and people are loosing their jobs and getting into debt or just looking at alternative ways to make money to eradicate existing debt.

Whilst our blogs have tended to focus on service provision and as a supplement to our other business, it is certainly possible to make money blogging and increasingly people are blogging to get out of debt.

You can make money online. We do, millions of others do. But you have to know how to do it – it’s a skill like anything else. What is very difficult is to start from square one, or from a relatively inexperienced position, and create your own blueprint.

Fortunately, you’re never really alone with the internet if you look in the right places. Be very careful of your sources, though, as we all know that trusting those sources can be an issue.

We thought it would be helpful to share some top tips for making money from blogging:

1- Realize that this will be an ongoing process. The reason we recommend scoping is to help in making the whole process go smoothly, and so that you, as the owner behind the blog, can put your stamp on it and control it. But do not forget that no blog or any website is really ever “finished”.

2- Building a blog is a work in progress and, whilst planning is important, it’s importantat the right level – it should not be a barrier. Don’t wait until your blog is “perfect” to get it going. If you do, it will probably never happen. As long as the substance is there, you can develop and ‘fix’ it as it operates. You have to get this balance right, and this will come with experience.

3- Understand your target market inside out. (You can never know this well enough, but again don’t let this be a barrier to action. You need to understand the demographic of your audience but you can work on that over time). Do not be vague about this. Do not cut corners in your fundamental understanding. It’s the bedrock of what you’re doing and you should document it (whether in a business plan or, at an early stage, in a separate note). This doesn’t mean it has to be War and Peace – in fact, it’s better that it isn’t. Short, concise, to the point.

4- Know what your branding is or will evolve into. You may have a brand created already through an offline business that you are moving online. Or many of you will be creating a new brand. Brands are all about the feeling your business imparts on those who do business with you, whether your customers, suppliers, etc. If you’re brainstorming this, get as much down on paper (or into your laptop) as you can. Again, don’t underestimate how useful mind mapping can be – it helps your ideas build, grown and connect. It makes those ideas tangible.

5- What will your marketing strategy be? If you can’t lead people through your “marketing funnel” towards your product, service or other profit generator, you will struggle. This is an area which can have a big impact on how you design your blog or someone else does (if the latter, don’t let your designer ‘run away’ with the look and feel without considering this – honestly, this is great advice, from personal experience).

6- You should end up with map with ‘one route’, designed by you – know exactly where you want your users to go and how you will get them there. Make it a path of least resistance.

Do you blog to promote your small business? You should! But to really benefit from it, you must get this one thing right, or else you may be lining someone else’s pocket instead of yours. Read on to discover what I mean by that and why I believe it’s essential for small business blogging success.

Here’s the key: You must own your blog. Are you wondering what I mean by “owning your blog”? Here’s what it does not mean: It does not mean a blog hosted by Blogger or WordPress that’s essentially just on loan to you.

Instead, you should make your blog a self-hosted WordPress Blog, meaning that you should host it in your own hosting account. That way it’s yours to keep and you won’t be at the mercy of the whims of Google or WordPress.

If you’re going to put work into your blog — and you should, or else it won’t do you any good — then you don’t want it to be snatched away from you without notice just because… That would make all your hard work go right down the drain.

And that could happen even if you follow all their rules. And just following their rules can put a bit of a crimp in your style and might hold you back from maximizing the profit potential of your blog.

So make it your own blog. And there are reasons beyond being in complete control.

1) Google loves them

First of all, Google LOVES WordPress self-hosted blogs. They score very well in search engine results. So why not take advantage of that.

2) More themes

You’ll also have a much wider range of themes to choose from, and you can edit those themes at will. It will really help with your branding and with making your site stand out. Otherwise, you’d have one of a few (or maybe a few dozen) templates, and everyone in the know would recognize them.

3) Your own domain name

You get to use your own domain name. Sure, you could redirect it, but people can tell. So why not go for the real thing.

4) More plug-ins

You can use a huge variety of plug-ins that will give you options that wouldn’t even exist otherwise.

5) You own it

But mostly, the biggest reason is just that. It’s yours. To do with as you please. And to keep for as long as you like.

If you’re serious about building a presence online, you need to be able to count on it being there for the duration. And if you rely on anyone else’s hosting, and especially a free blog, you simply can’t.

They even might add advertising, and that would make you look rather unprofessional, wouldn’t it.

Does that mean you can’t ever use a Blogger blog? Not at all. You can use it as a supplement to your main blog, whether as a sideline or as a backlink builder.

Just don’t build your business on it. Or else you may find that you’ve build your business on sand.

I’m sure you’ve heard before that it’s a possibility to make money with your blog and you may be wondering how this is possible. And were they really meant for making money or just for journaling your personal thoughts? I’m not sure what they were intended for but they are great ways to make money.

I have a personal blog which is just my own private little place to go online and jot down my thoughts, but I also have my business blogs.

Back In the Beginning

To be honest with you in the beginning of my blogging experience I really wasn’t sure what I should do with my blog. I knew I wanted to make money with it, but I didn’t know how. I didn’t know what I could do to not only be a value to others so they would come back to my blog, but that I would still enjoy writing it.

So it was really important to me that I find a topic in which I would be excited about, and have enough to offer so that I could blog every week or so. After starting a blog that was meant to just be an add-on to my business at MommysPlace.net and struggling with the direction of that blog, I came across one of Alice Seba’s blogs, which she used to write about her experience through a traffic product.

So every couple of weeks she would update her progress through this course. She would tell us all about her successes with this product and how great it was for her business. And it made me think of how I could do something similar.

Product/Service Focused Blog

And this is when the light bulb moment went off in my head. This is when I realized what I should have been doing all along. I have been a member of an exclusive coaching program for mothers in business.

Since joining this program my business has seen great success. My income has increased more then 10 times what it was before I joined, and my traffic has increased even more then that.

I enjoy and believe in this coaching program and it happens to have an affiliate program. I often got emails from other work at home mothers who wanted to know my thoughts on this program.

Taking a cue from Alice’s blog I decided to start my own such blog. And named it Mom Masterminds Grad and it can be found at [http://www.mmgrad.com]

I use this blog for the purpose of documenting my successes with my business. My projects, new content added to my website, keyword phrases I was ranking for…etc. Basically anything that has to do with my business that was directly or indirectly because of my joining Mom Masterminds, I jot down.

Not only was this the best move I could have made for my promoting this affiliate link it also served as a great way to really see for myself the successes my business was achieving and also to keep me on track.

This is one way you could make money with a blog. There are other ways you could make money with a blog if you don’t want to devote a blog to one service or product you’re promoting.

Side Kick Blog

For instance, my blog at http://www.telecommutingmoms.com is a side kick to TelecommutingMoms.com and my forums. This is a blog in which I update my members on additions to the website, newsletter and forums. And also use it as a vehicle for updating members on any important telecommuting news and promoting affiliate programs.

So this blog serves more then one purpose. My main goal with this blog is to get traffic to certain sections of my website. I have a large website and it’s not always easy for people to find my information. This is a great way for me to keep certain new pages or sections of my website in the public eye and get traffic to those pages. It also serves as a way to make money with affiliate programs. And lastly it gives exposure to my forum and my newsletter.

There can be many ways and, many topics in which you can make money and gain exposure to other businesses you may have, or can help in creating you as an expert in a certain field.

Just take the time to really think about what you could be writing about and then how you can make money with that as well. You can take a look at others blogs to get an idea and see what other people are looking for.

Making Money With Your Blog – Resources:

Blogs to Riches- is an e-book that details ways you can make your blog profitable. And the really cool thing with this is if you list the publisher’s link on your blog for 45 days he will give you this e-book for free! If you don’t want to wait that long you can also purchase it for a low price. Read more about Blogs to Riches – http://www.blogstoriches.com

Increasing Adsense – is an e-book about how to increase your adsense revenue. This e-book isn’t specifically geared towards blogs, but the information you will learn you can use with your blogs. (As well as websites and forums…anywhere you have adsense.) http://www.adsense-secrets.com

* Don’t know what adsense is? Go to http://www.google.com/adsense to learn more.

Ready To Blog?

Are you ready to take the leap into a blog? If so, it’s really very easy to set up a blog. The one resource I have used for my old blog is blogger.com and what I use for my current blogs is WordPress. Blogger is a great option for the newbie and you can host it with them. WordPress is a bit more complicated and must be hosted on your own domain, but it’s by far my most favorite option for blogs.

Submit Your Blog

After you create your blog you will want to submit it to blog directories to help get your blog out in front of the public. Some of the directories you can try are:

BlogWise – http://www.blogwise.com

Blog Search Engine – http://www.blogsearchengine.com

Blog Hub – http://www.bloghub.com

Blog Daisy – http://www.blogdaisey.com

Get Blogs – http://www.getblogs.com

Is Blogs – http://www.lsblogs.com

Feeds

Next, you need to add feeds to your blog. For adding a feed you add a little graphic to your blog. It can be a “my yahoo” feed, msn feed, or many other options.

When they click on that they can add your blog to their personal feed page. Then every time you add a new post they are alerted on their yahoo page that you have posted AND it even shows the topic of the post and how long ago it was posted.

This is one of the best resources I’ve found in keeping people coming back to your blog. They can subscribe to it so easily and they will be automatically updated whenever you have posted. It’s pretty easy to add an RSS feed to your blog. The resource I personally use is at http://www.feedburner.com

Watch Out Blogging World – Here I Come!

Now, see how simple this really can be? You can make money with a blog, gain exposure for another business or websites, can build yourself as an expert on a certain topic, can create a blog for free, get it listed for free and start an RSS feed for free! Now get out there and start blogging.

We should say that Copyright law various from country to country. But there are crucial pieces of information you really do need, no matter where you operate:

Don’t steal it and treat it with respect

In the digital age, so much multimedia is there for the taking. Photos, videos, plain old text.

A good mantra to follow is don’t take content unless it’s identified explicitly as being available for reuse under the creative commons or open content licenses. If you reference, reuse or dissect , always include a linked citation alongside the content. The author deserves to be linked to, or at least identified.

Check your own blog’s Copyright position – know your own backyard

5 steps to get in shape and avoid concerns over Copyright:

1. Ensure a copyright notice appears on every page of your blog.

2. If guests post on your blog, make the copyright position clear.

3. If you contribute to other blogs, be clear on their Copyright policies (whether you contribute for free (because you’re a really nice soul) or get paid.

4. Watermark protected images with your blog’s URL.

5. Secure content assets like ebooks using digital security and cover with your copyright notice.

Got it. What else?

Know where you stand with your writing from square one. And know where others who publish via your blog stand, to. Clarity is king. And it helps you add and generate real value and a great reading experience for your readers.

There’s too much repetition on the internet. Don’t contribute to that.

Avoid problems and you don’t have to deal with them. You really don’t want lawyers’ cease-and-desist emails popping into your inbox. Even if you don’t mean it, taking what isn’t yours is wrong.

You may decide to release some of your Copyright materials under the Creative Commons license, which “provide[s] free licenses and other legal tools to mark creative work with the freedom the creator wants it to carry, so others can share, remix, use commercially, or any combination thereof”.

Conversely, you might use the Open Content license, which licenses content “in a manner that provides users with the right to make more kinds of uses than those normally permitted under the law – at no cost to the user.”

There are great options to syndicate your content. And there are some amazing approaches out there by content publishers. Take a look at the approach of leading UK newspaper, The Guardian, with its Open Platform.

Refreshingly, no paywalls in sight there.

Tips for You to Start Business Blog Sites/Pages

It’s a question many ask, several find the answer to, only a very few do anything about: “How Do I Start A Business Blog”?

Don’t just dash into this. You need to cross a deep river. It’s a cold river. And it’s a fast-running river. But there really are amazing treasures in the jungle beyond: personal fulfillment, development and, yes, money. Lots of it, should you really wish (yes, we’ve been taking a couple of the literary excitement tablets! )

But money should never be the pure motivation for doing anything, in our view. It should be a by-product (yes, not a bad by-product, but one all the same) of a great business. Some make look upon this with scorn, but it’s a view we share with many successful businesses/business models.

Objectives

Business blogging may be there to promote an existing business; it may be there to be a business in itself. The biggest tip of all is to learn from the community of existing bloggers. There are literally millions of them out there, with hundreds of millions of hours of experience. Learn from the community, not just the experts (by the way, often the every day community members are, by a long way, more ‘expert’ that some of the ‘experts’).

Is Blogging a “fad”?

No (I guess you’d expect us to say that, right?) Seriously, though, no. It may (and is) develop(ing), but those who said it was dead were/are wrong. Just type ‘blog’ into Google and see the hits in many many different forms. It’s as powerful as some of the best and most established forms of communication on the web.

And it’s growing. Just take a look at some recent stats to understand that growth… Technorati’s “State of the Blogosphere” is about the best out there.

Quoting from this publication:

“Blogs are Pervasive and Part of Our Daily Lives
There have been a number of studies aimed at understanding the size of the Blogosphere, yielding widely disparate estimates of both the number of blogs and blog readership. All studies agree, however, that blogs are a global phenomenon that has hit the mainstream.

The numbers vary but agree that blogs are here to stay…”

Will you become a millionaire?

The stories about amazing riches from blogging are just that: stories. But there are, indeed, a few tried and very well tested methods which can make $000s of dollars a month for business bloggers. For every single one of those promised “thousands of dollars”, there’s a guide written by a guru. Well, there are gurus and gurus!

Some guides are genuinely worth the money. Others are not. Like everything in life, you pay your money and take your choice! But give yourself the weapons for the fight and, even more importantly, understand the fight.

Even those who make money the ultimate goal and like their Ferraris (Rob Benwell, for example!!) understand the real guts of business and don’t lose sight of that. Never lose sight of it either!

5 Top Tips On Information Guides (part of a life raft to help with that river!):

-1 Don’t believe anything you read until you’ve read it not once, not twice, but FIVE times. Preferably separated by healthy doses of coffee and broken by a walk to the park. Seriously.

-2 Even then, don’t take out the credit card until you’ve read it again. And then a couple more times.

-3 Research the author of the guide and know your topic inside out, upside down. Look at independent recommendations.

-4 Give yourself the ‘cold towel treatment’: “is this really helpful”? Does it REALLY do what it says “on the tin”?

-5 Plan. Plan. Plan. Plan a little more.

There are no quick fixes in life: helpful assistance is great, and essential as stellar marketing/finance gurus like Alvin Phang do show. However, you must do it for yourself. And you must do it – no-one else can. Be guided, but you’re at the steering wheel.

-6 (I said 5, right? well, it’s a good topic…) ENJOY YOURSELF

Rob Benwell’s

Core Tips on Business Blogging

The Search Engines (see- capital S, capital E – true reverence ) know how to separate the good from the bad. Google is, frankly, the King of this with its relevance algorithms.

This is fundamental, as there is a lot of trash out there. Some try to beat the system. However, 90 or so percent of the time, Google will serve up the most relevant information requested in its search box.

Most of the general population have, in the last few years, missed that the Yellow Pages (and equivalents) are dead. Fact. Linked (heavily to this) is that Google redefined “search”.

Blogs and “new” information have taken over. Yes, you guessed it: business owners are, and really, really, should, use this to their advantage.

This is the real, dynamic power of blogs. Providing personal, topic-focused or “whatever else” information. Google is passionate about new, fresh information. Without it, most websites are crawled and logged poorly by Google et al: they provide old, irrelevant and unhelpful information. Also, despite massive advances in technology, the Google spiders (robots) are relevant simple guys: they like to crawl fresh, plain, relevant text. Flash, images, etc, etc, really screw up the party. Really, really remember this (ok, yes, you can submit xml sitemaps, etc, nowadays but let’s get real).

We’re not advocating completely textual pages – we don’t have them. But don’t go nuts with the video!
Generally, webmasters have to push people to websites. Most website traffic, is usually direct hits. Pushed traffic. People who already know the name of your company and know what people have for lunch on Fridays. The information these websites provide usually does not attract the search robots.

You can pull people to a blog. It can attract readers organically. Most blog traffic usually comes in organically. Readers find your blog, not the other way around. That’s the KEY difference for us. Period.

Look out for Part II, guys.
