Commenting on blogs is the only way to get free backlinks from high PR pages and thus has a high potential in terms of SEO. It is much easier to comment on a blog if it is apparent there is a following on the blog. Many comments on each post at least shows there is some popularity with the site and it's topic. My first time here but I can see that it is worth a entry in my reader. I am sure to be back.

I usually try to comment a few times whenever I hit a new blog. It's tough writing a blog and feeling like no ones reads it so commenting is kind of a way to give back.
