I think that forums are the best thing to do .. Forums are big traffic blogs because you can add your signature as your link to your blog .. (Not all of forums can do that)

E-zine advertising also allows you to go after targeted traffic. You can pick and choose which e-zine you want to advertise in. This can drive traffic to your site fairly quickly.
